Digha is the most popular seaside resort town in West Bengal, located in the East Midnapore district and at the northern end of the Bay of Bengal. The small but beautiful beach town is renowned for its beautiful beaches, its views of the Bay of Bengal amidst the many casurina plantations along the seaside and many activities as well such as swimming, scuba diving, jet ski-ing and surfing. The beach town is also easily accessible from the capital city of Kolkata which is only 187 km away, which makes it a popular weekend getaway for the local people as well as it is visited by thousands of visitors every year. Not only the old and new beaches of Digha but the nearby less crowded and beautiful beaches such as Udaipur beach, Shankarpur beach and Junput make it a popular tourist place in West Bengal.

Breathtaking beaches along the Bay of Bengal, beautiful temples and few secluded beaches in the close vicinity, honeymoon in Digha is all about spending some quality time with your beloved in the beautiful natural settings at the beaches of Digha.

Digha as Honeymoon Destination (Romantic Getaway)

The old beach of Digha usually gets overcrowded in the peak season i.e. in cooler winter breaks and so the new Digha beach is the better place for romantic couples to spend some quality time exploring the exotic natural beauty as well as enjoying few activities such as sunbathing, diving, horse riding etc. Both the new and old beaches are still very much crowded and for couples looking for spending some time in isolation, the nearby beaches of Udaipur and Shankarpur are ideal beaches just few kilometers away from the Digha beach. There are also few other sightseeing attractions in Digha worth making a visit to such as Shiva temple at Chandaneshwar, the Aquarium of Zoological Survey of India, Talsari and Mandarmani, a small virgin beach.

Why Visit Digha as Romantic Getaway?

We had a nice outing at Digha. The Udaipur Beach experience was mind blowing. If you love the nature and adventure you should have stayed in these tents and its just amazing. We enjoyed sea food with chilled beer in the beach. If you wish to have some thrill the New Digha has got a lot for you the water boat, speed boat & parachute ride. It is best for short trips.
