If you are planning with friends to visit Shimla sorry its a bad idea. I have a bad experience of the place not as beautiful as it used to be in past.its so crowded that it took almost 2 hours just to find a parking apart from that I did not find any scene of roaming here and there on ridge.

There is a zoo in kufri which is ok and on the way their is sighting place which is beautiful else its horrible. We planned our vacation for week but we came back on 3rd day.

If you want to enjoy snow or play on snow then Jan, Feb and first week of March are the perfect time. In April, you will not find snow in or near Shimla.

For snow during April, Manali is a better option. Know more about Manali here: http://www.romanticbug.com/manali.html or http://www.askmanali.com

Shimla is full of natural beauty with lush greenery especially Hausen valley. The flora & fauna of the area is eye catching. The place is very quiet. We enjoyed a lot at ridge, Kufri, Tatta-Pani & the most adventurous was river rafting at Tatta Pani. It was a good experience going to Shimla.. We enjoyed the cool weather and beauty of Shimla. The best place for couples, so honeymooners hit the place.

My husband and I went for our Honeymoon and it was the great experience because we have picked the best spot…It was Shimla,,
First thing is you do not have to worry about getting transportation to anywhere..all facilities are available there..We had booked Hotel Fairmount, their services..the atmosphere, the snowy mountains forests, all those most amazing and scenic locations make our honeymoon the most loving and memorable one. The room was good and services was great as far as we planned…Shimla is truly a perfect destination for couples…by going there we know that why it is called as” Queen of Hills “…
