The jail is located in the capital of Andaman, Port Blair and now the jail has been converted into a museum and a hospital. The jail’s building consisted of seven spokes type three storied buildings where each cell was meant for solitary confinement and were designed in such a way that prisoners would have no contact with each other. At present the museum shows various incidents of freedom fighter kept in the Jail.
